Who We Are

Charlie and Karen reside in Tulsa, Oklahoma with their three daughters, Anna, Corinne and Catherine and son, Chaz. The Stephenson family has been active in the llama community and industry of over 19 years. Charlie and Karen find time in their busy schedule to attend and sponsor ALSA, Futurity and other llama events across the country.

Charlie has served on the BOD of the Suri Llama Association and acted as the show superintendent of the Tulsa State Fair Llama Show. He has been instrumental and hopes to continue in advancing the market, the breed and the industry through his involvement with all of the llama organizations.

The breeding herd of Flightless Farms consists of approximately 80 llamas that share their time between the ranch near Tulsa, OK and at the ranch in Colorado during the show season and summer months. The Colorado branch of Flightless Farms is managed by Alaine Byers-Holzhauer. Alaine has operated Indian Peaks Llamas since 1980 and has managed the “Colorado Branch” of Flightless Farms since 2004.

Both ranches invite you to stop by and visit us, our llamas and staff anytime you are in the Tulsa or LaVeta areas.
